about me
I’m an artist and maker in Virginia, creating garden‑inspired art, textiles, and handcrafted work. My love for making began early, shaped by my mama’s creativity and the traditions of my mountain heritage. Those roots taught me to value resourcefulness, patience, and the quiet satisfaction of working with my hands.
My inspiration still comes from simple, everyday moments: the birds outside my window, the curve of a petal, the light on the leaves, the patterns that appear when I’m paying attention. These details guide both sides of my creative practice.
I develop surface designs for fabric and paper, and I also create handcrafted pieces like doll quilts and woven textiles. Some of my work features my own patterns, while other pieces are made from fabrics I’ve collected and loved over the years — all stitched or woven with the same steady intention and care.
My children have also shaped my creative world. Their curiosity, their stories, and the way they see the world have all found their way into my designs. Many of my earliest sewing projects began with them creating alongside me, and their presence continues to influence the work I make today.
I love to share this work with others who appreciate thoughtful craft and the stories behind it.
